New Tree Row Planted
A new row of around 60 English oak trees now lines the property boundary along Borringhauser Street. Some of the trees were planted last year, and now that construction work at the APL has been completed, the final 600-meter stretch has also been finished.
With this initiative, we, as a manufacturer and processor of corrugated board, are helping to support local climate protection efforts and enhance the ecological value of our site. The English oaks, which are around five years old and about three meters tall, are known for being especially hardy and long-lasting. They can grow to heights of up to 40 meters.
As a native species, English oaks provide an important habitat for a wide range of insects and birds. Over time, they also help capture CO₂ and promote biodiversity.
