Production Start in Plant 2
The soft opening of our second plant in Niedersachsenpark is a milestone in our company history!
As the premises in the Osterdammer industrial area is limited and we are slowly reaching the limits of our capacity, expansion to another location is unavoidable. Niedersachsenpark in Rieste, with its location on the A1, offers us the perfect conditions for another production site, which is why in 2022 we have secured a plot of land of around 10 acres with the option to expand to a total of 28 acres.
Construction of our second plant started in October 2022 and over the course of this year we have been able to see the building take shape. The production hall was the first to be completed so that the machinery and the conveyor and strapping technology could move in. The break and social rooms as well as the various offices are currently still under construction and completion of the workshop will also take until the beginning of 2024.
The machine park currently consists of two folder gluers (FKM), the Turbox 230 and Turbox XL from Bahmüller, and a high-performance flat-bed die cutter with two printing units – a Bobst Masterline. These machines can be used to produce all types of packaging for online retail, the furniture and kitchen industry or the food sector. This reduces the workload at the main facility in Damme.
The successful soft opening is a highlight for us in this company year. We look forward to an official opening ceremony in summer 2024!
