Construction Progress on the New APL Building
The construction of the new APL building is making significant progress. Since the last report in February, a lot has happened on the site: the concrete work has been completed, and both the facade and the roof are finished. The windows have already been installed, and the sprinkler system has been completed as well.
An architectural highlight is the newly built skywalk in the goods receiving hall – including a rooftop viewing platform. This structure will not only be functional in the future but also serve as a visual focal point.
Inside the building, work is currently in full swing. The focus is now on the technical installations: in the future, massive paper rolls will be transported via overhead cranes and an extensive conveyor belt system. The cranes have already been installed more than 25 meters high, and further installations at dizzying heights are currently underway.
At the same time, the installation of the floor-level conveyor belts is progressing rapidly.
Work is also continuing outside the building: asphalt paving of the exterior surfaces will begin next week and is scheduled to be completed within three weeks.
The APL construction site remains on schedule – a promising outlook for the months ahead.
