A Zerhusen Giga-Liner at Miniatur Wunderland

A very special birthday gift for our company founder: On his birthday last year, Roland Zerhusen’s family surprised him with an extraordinary present – his very own Zerhusen Giga-Liner at Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg’s Speicherstadt district.

A one-of-a-kind model in the Central Germany section

The detailed Zerhusen truck has recently been on display in the “Central Germany” section. It is the first Giga-Liner of its kind to be integrated into the Wunderland.

The model was specially manufactured and has now become a permanent part of the miniature world.

State-of-the-art technology for day and night simulation

During a conversion phase lasting around ten days, the truck was equipped with the latest Wunderland technology. Every single LED was precisely installed and calibrated, ensuring that the vehicle impresses not only in daylight but also unfolds its full effect at night.

From the front headlights and position lights to the detailed rear lighting, the Giga-Liner is fully illuminated and becomes a real eye-catcher, especially at dusk. It is not only visually striking but also implemented at the highest technical level.

A special connection

For Roland Zerhusen, this gift has a deep personal meaning: As a passionate railway and model-building enthusiast, he has spent decades creating his own miniature paradise. Now “his” truck drives in one of the most impressive model worlds in the world – an emotional surprise that uniquely combines entrepreneurial spirit and hobby.

Miniatur Wunderland – a world of superlatives

Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg is the largest model railway exhibition in the world and has been the city’s most visited tourist attraction for years. Covering nearly 1,700 square meters of exhibition space, a miniature world with twelve completed sections has been created in more than one million working hours.

More than 26 million visitors have already admired the detailed landscapes – from moving trains and ships to aircraft taking off at Knuffingen Airport. With the opening of Monaco, including its spectacular Formula 1 racetrack in 2024, the exhibition continues to expand. The Amazon rainforest and the Atacama Desert are currently under construction, with additional international themed worlds planned for the future.
