Successful Training of Company First Responders
The safety of our employees is our top priority. To be even better prepared for emergencies, three employees at Zerhusen Kartonagen have successfully completed training as company first responders.
The course took place from March 24 to April 2, 2026, in cooperation with Grimme. Alongside a solid theoretical foundation, the training placed strong emphasis on hands-on exercises to ensure participants can respond quickly and confidently in real-life situations.
The program covered legal basics as well as how to respond to a range of medical emergencies, including breathing and cardiovascular problems, CPR, bone and joint injuries, head injuries, electrical accidents, and poisoning.
Two of the trained first responders will be based at Plant 1, with another assigned to Plant 2—further strengthening emergency preparedness at both sites.
With their advanced training, they will provide additional support, particularly in more serious emergencies. Minor injuries will continue to be handled by our team of first aiders.
