Zerhusen Kartonagen Expands Rieste Site
Zerhusen Kartonagen is expanding its Rieste site, adding around 8,000 m² of new floor space for production and shipping. The expansion will create the capacity needed for continued growth and new jobs.
The new Halls 4 and 5 are being built between the existing Hall 3 and the road. The expansion has become necessary as the Rieste facility is now operating at full capacity and needs additional space for production, storage, and shipping.
The first preparations are already complete. Parking spaces, fencing, and the main entrance have been relocated, and the construction site has been cleared and prepared. The first structural columns for the new halls will be delivered at the end of October, making the progress of the project increasingly visible from outside the site.
Once construction is completed in summer 2027, the company plans to convert the current shipping Hall 3 almost entirely to production. A new processing machine has already been ordered for this purpose. The new Halls 4 and 5 will then be used for shipping operations.
The expansion will strengthen Zerhusen Kartonagen’s presence in Rieste and provide additional capacity to support the company’s growth in the years ahead. It will also create new employment opportunities. By autumn 2027, the number of employees at the site is expected to reach around 100.
